Jock Safari Lodge

Kruger National Park

Jock Safari Lodge in the heart of the Kruger National Park is  one of a few places in Africa that still have enough space for lions to follow their natural dynamics without human interference

The beautiful male lions in the image were born on the Jock Concession in 2008 and now rule an area 50km away after they were kicked out by the dominant males. Everyone in the Kruger knows them as the Jock males.

Main Jock safari lodge and Fitzpatrick’s will be closed in September and October and will re-open in November 2018 with a fresh new look.

Some of the changes to expect:

Guests can expect a fresh new look, yet remaining true to our heritage and décor style of safaris of yesteryear

The Victorian ball and claw bath bathtubs will be moved onto the deck, offering outdoor shower and baths for that extra touch of luxury and the internal bathrooms will be fitted with double showers.

The day salas on the suite decks will be enclosed to offer an exclusive sleep out experience where guests can really take advantage of the South African night sky.

The dining area will receive stacking glass doors and a pergola roof structure in order to welcome the outdoors, in. The upstairs bar, a favourite spot for guests will be redesigned and offer a fire pit where guests can relax pre or post dinner.

Something very special will be the new riverbed dining experience, which will take place every third alternative evening for an exceptional dining experience. (Big game and weather dependent)

The General Manager at Jock Safari Lodge, Louis Strauss and the staff are looking forward welcoming guests to Jock Safari Lodge
