Dulini River Lodge in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve is known to be one of Africa’s finest safari destinations.
The 65 000ha Sabi Sand Reserve shares a 50km unfenced border with the Kruger National Park toward the east. Two perennial rivers, the Sabi and Sand Rivers sustain the diverse fauna and flora of the area, which enjoys one of the highest and most bio-diverse populations of any reserve in Africa.
With no boundary fences between the Sabi Sand and the Kruger National Park, an excellent diversity of wildlife is found here, together with the Big Five: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino.
Game drives traverse an area of 10 000 hectares (24 700 acres) and strict vehicle limits at sightings ensure the exclusivity of your game viewing experience. Off-road driving allows the best possible view of any exceptional sighting and rangers are constantly communicating with each other to keep track of animal movements.

10 000 hectares of pristine wilderness are traversed in the comfort of six seat open land rovers. With the swarming biodiversity of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve and therefore the accomplished interpretation of bush signs by expert Shangaan trackers, no two game drives are ever the same. Trackers and Rangers partner in looking for fresh animal tracks and brush elusive animals into ravines and through the brush to make sure your vivid and exhilarating wildlife encounter.

Dulini River Lodge facilities include:

The traffic of game frequenting the trails through and beyond the camp and riverbed may be enjoyed from the cantilevered deck tented by a leafy Jackalberry. It is not uncommon to secretly witness the passage of an elusive leopard from this vantage point. The deck also offers an alternative venue for enjoying the rich fare at meal times.
Traditionally known as “the boma”, this truly African dining venue boasts a ceiling of stars and a roaring fire. It is around the Boma fire that friendships are sealed and all African bush yarns are spun – grandiose tales of fearsome beasts and great escapes are always more memorable when shared around the camp fire.
A collection of bespoke curios and safari essentials are available for your temptation. It is an African custom to return to one’s home bearing gifts of the land to which one has journeyed. The Safari Shop will accommodate this tradition and package purchases in Dulini style to remind you of your African sojourn.
Guests have an opportunity to partner with Dulini through their purchases from our safari shop.
The Dulini curio shop is dedicated to key fundraising for our outreach work. 50% of profit from curio shop sales is directly Donated to the EsiDuini Community Trust.
Children from 8 years and older are welcome at Dulini. A child is considered 8-16 years old and will be charged 50% of the full adult rate when sharing with one or two adults. Should there be a full camp booking; children of any age will be welcome. Child rates will apply for a 08-16-year-old sharing with parents.
River Lodge has 6 riverside suites. Each suite features:

Our cancellation policy is as follows:
• Three weeks before arrival: 50% of full amount
• Two weeks before arrival: 75% of full amount

Please note that the Sabi Sand Guest Conservation Contribution (GCC) fee of R100 per person per night (vat exempt) will be added to the above rates and will be invoiced with the accommodation.
